Our patterns are made by patternmakers from the world of couture. You'll find the collection in satin, crêpe satin, crêpe georgette, stretch cotton poplin, travel jersey and sequins. Satin gives the sheen and fluid drape you expect from a luxury blouse. Crêpe georgette is lighter and moves more freely, ideal for warm days. Stretch cotton poplin holds its shape and stays fresh through a long workday.

Almost all of our styles are made in Europe. Our cotton is GOTS certified wherever possible.

Which blouse works for a business look?

A button-down blouse with a collar in cotton poplin or satin gives the most polished line under a blazer. Choose a solid color for a calm look and a style you can tuck into your pants or skirt. A tie-neck blouse also works well and needs no extra accessories.

Can a satin blouse go in the washing machine?

Our satin blouses are washable. Wash on a delicate cycle with cold water, skip the fabric softener and hang the blouse on a wide hanger afterwards. That way the satin keeps its sheen and fluid drape. Our travel jersey styles come out of the wash wrinkle free and don't need ironing.

What's the difference between a blouse and a top?

A blouse usually has a front closure, a collar and sleeves, and falls more loosely around the body. A top is a sleeveless or short-sleeved piece without a closure that you pull over your head. Tops are often worn as a layer under a blazer or gilet; a blouse also stands on its own.
