Toen ik LaDress oprichtte, was het mijn doel om het leven van vrouwen makkelijker te maken en hen zelfvertrouwen en kracht te geven. Ik ben er trots op dat LaDress door de jaren heen altijd een merk is gebleven dat gelooft dat mode om meer draait dan alleen kleding. Mode heeft de kracht om meer te betekenen. Het is ook een manier om verhalen te vertellen en, op onze eigen bescheiden manier, de wereld om ons heen een beetje mooier te maken.

Daarom zijn we ontzettend trots om onze nieuwe collectie te introduceren: Sweaters with a Story.

Iedere maand onthullen we een nieuwe sweater in een andere kleur, met telkens een uniek ontwerp met een dubbele betekenis. Wat je op het eerste gezicht ziet, blijkt wanneer je beter kijkt iets heel anders te zijn. En Iedere sweater vertelt haar eigen verhaal.

Choosing the sometimes difficult right vs the crazy wrong takes courage and strength, but it shapes our values and it is what we need to do, now more than EVER.

It is our values that guide us, ground us and empower us to push back against unfairness and inequality. They remind us of the beauty this world can hold and inspire us to protect it. Never let them dim. Let kindness and empathy be our guiding light.

Kiss the Mirror.

Onderzoek laat zien dat kleine meisjes tot ongeveer hun tweede levensjaar oprecht graag naar zichzelf in de spiegel kijken. Ze lachen naar hun spiegelbeeld, geven zichzelf kusjes en vinden het simpelweg mooi wat ze zien. Zonder twijfel, zonder oordeel. Totdat de wereld hen langzaam leert om daar anders naar te kijken. Waarom eigenlijk?

Aan iedere vrouw willen we zeggen: probeer terug te gaan naar dat prachtige gevoel. Kijk minstens één keer per dag in de spiegel en HOU van wat je ziet, alsof je weer dat kleine meisje bent... Dat vrolijke meisje dat kusjes gaf aan de spiegel en zichzelf omarmde, precies zoals ze was.

First Crush

Ik herinner me mijn eerste crush nog als de dag van gisteren. Ik was zo jong en had nog nooit zoiets gevoeld. Het was magisch!

Een eerste verliefdheid laat voor het allereerst dat bijzondere vonkje overslaan dat je hart sneller doet kloppen. En hoewel het iets heel anders is dan echte liefde, blijven we ons hele leven op zoek naar precies datzelfde gevoel. In de liefde, in onze passies, maar ook in toevallige ontmoetingen en onverwachte avonturen.

Laten we daar nooit mee stoppen. Laten we altijd blijven zoeken naar die momenten die ons hart opnieuw een sprongetje laten maken, precies zoals op dat ene bijzondere moment, lang geleden.

True North

Life doesn't always go the way we hope. Sometimes the setbacks are small, sometimes they feel overwhelming. I've experienced both. During one of those more difficult periods, a dear friend gave me the book True North. Sometimes things come into your life at exactly the right moment... That book, and the philosophy behind it, became a true lifesaver. And to this day, it remains my guide.

We all have an inner compass. A direction that is uniquely our own. Your own TRUE NORTH. Finding that compass and learning to trust it is a journey. And the more you listen to it and let it guide your decisions, the more it leads you to extraordinary places, gives you strength, and connects you with remarkable people. For me, it has been, and still is, the most inspiring journey I could ever have taken.
